A leading Luton portrait photographer has teamed up with the Luton & Dunstable Hospital to help raise funds for desperately ill newborns.
David Doyle , of Oakley Studios in Oakley Road, Luton, is offering families the opportunity to purchase a £25 portrait voucher, with the procedes going directly to the hospitals’s neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU).
He said ; “Families can come in for their portrait session and can then opt to buy extra portraits if they wish.”
Mr Doyle and his wife Sue and their team (who this year celebrate 20 successful years in business) were last year’s winners of the Pride In Luton award for Service With A Smile and have a wealth of experience in capturing special moments for posterity. As well as Family Portraiture, they also specialise in wedding photography.
The L & D needs to raise £1.5 million to kit out the brand new NICU unit which is due to open later this year.
The new unit will be able to care for 46 babies at a time, and a fantastic £242,000 has been raised so far for the appeal.
