Darrell got in touch as he had written his second book and wanted professional images to use in publicising his book on his new website. This book called "Three Stripes I'm Out" is about his time as a Sergeant in the RAF during the Falklands War and Darrel wanted the images to show the connection between his two careers.
We had an in depth conversation when Darrell visited our studio on the Luton & Dunstable border to establish in more detail the type of images he wanted and the style he wanted to convey for his professional headshot portrait.
During these conversations, we discussed how the images were to be staged. We settled on using several copies of his books, his manuscript, treasured pen, a quill pen with holder and his Falklands Veterans Flag. Darrell also wanted to showcase his medals and Falklands Veterans uniform in some of the images.

What should I wear for a professional headshot?
We recommend wearing something that reflects your professional role and feels natural to you. Solid colours work best on camera — avoid busy patterns or logos. A second outfit is a good idea if you would like variety in your final images. For business profiles, LinkedIn, and websites, classic professional dress tends to photograph most effectively.
Do you offer food photography for restaurants and food businesses?
